Already this term we have been out and about...
Marten from Darwin Science took us to Freshwater West beach to complete a litter pick. As you can see from the photograph we collected a huge amount of rubbish that had been washed in with the tide.
We took the plastics that we found back to school and Marten gave a fascinating talk about the dangers of plastics to the environment, wildlife and the food chain. Our Learning Log research involved designing a poster to highlight the dangers of plastic.
Orielton Field Centre
We had a great day out at Orielton Field Centre completing different activities such as pond dipping and tree identification.
We are so lucky to live where we do, it is amzing to learn and find out about our local environment.
This term our topic is Light and Sound.
We have been researching the planets of the Solar System and learning about what makes day and night.
Our investigation about shadows involved using our numeracy skills to measure and record length and angle.
In Religious Education we have been looking at the Christian church as a family that we, as a Church School, are part of. We have learned about the Diocese of St. Davids, and in November will visit St. David's Cathedral.
