Outdoor Area update!!!!
As you know, the children have been working hard to improve their outdoor area.
We are pleased to be able to show you the results of all that hard work!!
Our area used to look like this...
Now it looks like THIS!!
We would like to thank GenPower, Wickes, The Power Station, LBS, B and Q, Tesco and Asda for their kind and generous donations. Tesco employees spent many hours painting and improving the décor outside.
The Friends of the School kindly helped us to reach our final target.
Many thanks to Mr. Harries for the construction work and to the companies he contacted as part of the work he completed for their support.
Already this term we have been very busy. Our theme this term is Light and Sound and we have been making electrical circuits to see what we could find out!
In mathematical development we have been looking at sorting...
...and also at lines of symmetry using the Rugby World Cup flags as our inspiration!
Mrs. Evans wasn't very happy that the Welsh flag didn't have any lines of symmetry!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Harvest is a special time in our school. We attended a wonderful Harvest service at St. Michael's Church with all our friends and families.
It was also a good reason to use fruit and vegetables in other ways! We enjoyed learning about Arcimboldo, an artist who made collages before painting!
What do you think of our collage 'in the style of' Arcimboldo?!
